The great news is that Turbogears 2 has been released. Making Turbogears much more powerful as before. This great news implies bad news. The bad news is that the pyguicms and r00t projects needs to be migrated to match the new Turbogears 2 libraries and defaults. Many other default tools are now used in Turbogears, such as Genshi who will replace kid, and SQLAlchemy who replace SQLObject. these tools are much more performant and migrating to the latest version will improve the speed of pyguicms.

Turbogears provide many improvements, i invite you to check the Turbogears changelog. That's why it is almost necessary to migrate the code the pyguicms and r00t code. At the same time, pyguicms and r00t will be smelt together when migrating the code to Turbogears 2. The r00t project will be most likely trashed in the future. Both projects have final reach the same spirit and in my future release, i will try to make it much more modulable and configurable. So that r00t will be a true pyguicms variant, and that thanks to the pyguicms modules and themes. I want to create much more useful modules so that each pyguicms website could be used for specialized task.

I hope so much to release a newer as soon as possible with all these new improvements. The other great news is that the Turbogears 2 environment is already created. I'm now, time by time, checking the documentation and testing the new Turbogears 2. Time is missing these days to, but i'm already working on the pyguicms2 migration.

The SSL certification for the web server has been renewed and is now valid until 20/05/2010. You may have discovered that the previous has reach the end of his life.

I plan to migrate the ldap server, this could give some little glitches and disconnect some services such as the webserver, file server, ftp server, ssh server etch. The disconnection should be a few minutes but tests will be done and some changes on the ldap content that would require a few minutes of dis connectivity. To resume, the ldap server will be migrated to a ldap-sambe domain.

Physical network will be moved and adjusted. This has as consequence that the whole network will be down and even the local network for a few minutes.

The servers, webserver and file server will be rebooted this evening at 22:00. Expect that the servers won't be reachable for a period of 15 mins. A kernel update will be installed and system needs to reboot.

Since some days, the r00t project has got a new style. This new design isn't finished yet but is almost stable now. Some things will be changed in the next coming days but the most part is already done by now. Some things needs to be fine tuned as it still don't match my requirements. I guess you encountered some troubles during the change as i modified the template on the production server. But this was controlled and minimal so who know you got disturbed with this ;-)

In the week of 30/06/2008 - 04/07/2008 i will move of renting location. This means that the internet connection will be fall out. Contacted the ISP and they will do the necessary on 30/06/2008. If all goes right, i will be without internet for maximum one day.

You can reach this webserver on port 3334 such as port 8080 and even port 80 if you have the same Internet Service Provider as mine. Actually, my ISP is telenet.

I plan to close port 3334 on 14/05/2008 and you should use port 8080 instead! So update your bookmarks!

You could use port 3333 in the past to access this webserver. Like port 3334 (and port 80 only if you are on the same ISP, aka Telenet and the recommended 8080 port).

Try to avoid port 3333, 3334 and instead use port 8080. In the future, port 80 should be maybe accessible for everyone. Once i moved of ISP.

Well, you been discovered that port 3333 and port 3334 is still open, otherwise you won't see this page ;-) This port is been kept open for old search indexes.

All data of the old GUICMS has been migrated to the PYGUICMS. Some pages are still in private status and are not viewable by anonymous people. If you don't find back the wanted page that was available on the GUICMS, or don't have the rights to view it, don't hesitate to contact me. I will give priority to the requested pages. I'm so sorry that you may hit some old link from Google or whatever. You are probably a bit lost right now, wanted to access some specific page ... There's no redirect from an old page to the new. The id's of the database has been changed. So, manual steps are needed :-(
