The gateway server will be replaced with a definitive server. We expect a shutdown of a hour, less or more. The websites and databases will be stored on this new server. So the website will be unavailable at this time.

This change has especially done for the new Python web projects like PYGUICMS, r00t, and the PYGUICMS-trac. Some other lesser important stuff will be hosted on this server

The ISP Telenet got again some troubles and there was no network at 25-02-2008 22:45 till 26-02-2008 08:15.

The server was not reachable between 23-02-2008 23:45 till 24-02-2008 in the morning. The ISP Telnet S.A. got some problems. The problem has been fix on 24-02-2008 in the morning. I can't tell the exact hour like i was sleeping.

I have got many power failures the previous weeks. This was due my house boss that become more and more crazy. He found it nice to cut the power and the heater and set it back. This without any valid reason. He repeated this several times and some time set a pause for a few hours, with letting use for some time without power. According to my house boss, he is working for the FBI and he know that i'm scanning some stuff here. He get this info from the FBI with his onboard headset ...

I have no access to the power switch box nor the heater and couldn't fix this. The only way was to call the police again... The house boss seems to be know by the services. Seems that near the whole family is crazy.

The guy get a bad health and is now, hopefully, fixing his problem. To keep this crazy story short: The police have finally take him away for 1 month. If everything goes right, the house boss is in an specialized institute right now.

At this stage, i'm searching for another renting. We have found somethings, so it's probable that i move soon.

If you couldn't access this server for some hours anymore. You are aware, this means that the house boss is back :-(

My ISP have boost the upload pipeline up to 512 kbps from 256 kbps. So, the "website" should be a bit faster now. The download and other 12GB upload/download limits has not changed.

My upload is your download. So this means that users can now download stuff at 512 kbps from my network.

This website/project is a PHP to Python conversion. I used this same look and feel as the PHP code before. The previous version of my "root" website was hard coded static code and there was really nothing dynamic at it. I had even could write that in plain HTML stuff. Like i'm learning TurboGears and like it that much, i even decided to convert that PHP stuff to Python code and get it much more functional.

The stuff is now completely dynamic. We are able to add/edit/manage some pages, news items, groups, users etc. The same spam filter is used as for the PYGUICMS. To be honest, most of this project come of my PYGUICMS. There's not need to add all features the PYGUICMS have. Anyway, things may be change and new features can be added at any time.

Now that the PYGUICMS is up and running on the www and i'm working on a new "root" webiste. I decided to move all the stuff of my old P2 233MHz to my workstation. This is a temporally move. I'm awaiting a new (second hand) computer that will be used for this tasks.

The old server become ways to slow. And since i convert all my PHP stuff to Python code and at the same time build some new toys in Python code, i discovered a big performance issue. Sure, Python ask a bit more CPU power and adding a bunch of new stuff that want some power doesn't fix that slow server.

So all web stuff are moved to another box. GUICMS, the screenshots, the debs etch. I guess that nobody has got any issue. At least i hope so, or got maybe some minor connection problem for lesser as a hour. Normally all should be still transparent and the visitors should not even discover any change. Apart the performance that is much better. The stuff is now on a 1,8GHZ with 2 GB RAM :-)

The PYGUICMS is still in heavy development phase. The project is near usable for a "normal" user. Most of the basic features is up and running. But the actual state of the project still not permit it to publicly release the first stable version.

We may soon so proud to announce the first stable release of the PYGUICMS. It's all about a question of time. Like i manage the deadline and like i'm cool, the deadline will be cool too. Be patient! Contact me to motivate me ;-)

Anyway, the "beta demo" version is now online. We are ready to put it online and to start to make use of it. The end of the GUICMS seems to be so soon.
