This page talk about the GNU/Linux support.

There could be many reason to use alternative tools as available for the Microsoft Windows operating system. If you know why you are in this section, i shouldn't tell you about all the benefits of using GNU or open source software. Anyway, i should do for all the people who don't know about GNU, nor Linux nor open source software at all. As we all have started with the lack of knowing other great alternative tools with other spirit in mind.

These days, Microsoft Windows XP is installed on all brand new computers you buy at a computer shop., if it isn't Vista you get. This is now already some years this happen. Some inteligent individue, called Mr. Bill Gates got a great idea to force vendors to ship a Microsoft Windows operating system on they computers they sell. With as a result that everyone has got a Microsoft Windows operating system on they computers and now most peoples don't even know that there exist other operating systems.

Eventually, some people may know about the Mac computers, or maybe know as Apple. But sadly  enougth, i don't support this hardware, as i even don't own such one machine. Some find that this vendor bring good hardware on the market. But i can't tell as i already told, no experience at all with this. I only know that newer models have an Intel processor and GNU/Linux can be installed on this architecture. But only for this i can deliver support.

And now what about your open source software or your gnu thingy? ...

Well, some students at the university had the chance to touch other systems as Microsoft Windows. They used Unix to learn and do some experiments. This was, and still is good stuff. This is a complete other concept as Microsoft operating system. But only univercities could afford a Unix licence at a decent price. Later, some students could also afford a licene at reduiced price. These student studied the Unix operating system and decided to deliver somethings what Unix was. But with an open source licence. Removing some restrictions such as the ability to read the source code but the most important is the ability to share the code with your friends.

This spirti has envolved and created many communities who provide the best computer software on the world and this for FREE! Some communities became proprietaire such as Red Hat, Mandriva etc. They still offer an Open Source operating system but at some price and with some restrictions.
