project guicms

The GUICMS was mainly build to publish articles contents, links and little online tools like the dict, the gnuvd, the bible, ip, etc. I not more plan to work on the GUICMS code. The data has been migration and used in the new project called PYGUICMS.

Introduction

The GUICMS project has been removed of the World Wide Web. The PYGUICMS replace the GUICMS. The GUICMS should not be used anymore. See the PYGUICMS project page for more informations. In fact, the GUICMS has moved from location so that it may be accessible as demonstration purpose. See here the old GUICMS website.

Technical informations

• The GUICMS is written in PHP and make use of MYSQL running on apache or apache2.
• FCKEditor is used as WYSIWYG.
• The project ran smoothly on a Pentium 2 with 156 MB RAM with Debian GNU/Linux.

Add/edit an article

When editing an article, a little WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) tool help you to write the content of the article. There's no need to know any HTML tag at all! You need to play 10 minutes and i'm sure you could use all these options of this WYSIWYG editor.

Guestbook

View the items of the Guest Book.

Anyone can sing the Guest Book and leave some comment. A captcha system has been implemented to avoid some automated spamming.

Admin Section.

The admin section is only accessible by authenticated user. Clicking on a logo bring you to the concerned admin section.

You can easy add, reset user passwords, manage users.

Logging

With this interface, you can easy see which ip address did some request. You can filter on username (if not unknow -> anonymous), ip, host, the request method (get or post).

You can easy define which boxes on the left menu on this pages. But you can also define the boxes of the right side (not showed on following screenshot) and this is the same interface.
